GIVE ME A DRINK…”
CROI NUA CENTRE
SATURDAY, 29th May, 10.00 to 4.30
With Deirdre Ní Chinnéide
We live in a strange time. It is the best of times and the worst of times. We have much that is truly blessed and yet we are deeply disturbed. We have much and we feel lost and rootless.
Yet, we dream. We are haunted by possibility. We are lured by our hearts. We are coaxed to roll back the stones that imprison us and to drink from our wells of living water.
Our Celtic heritage of faith provides marvellous perspectives for deeper life. We have often forgotten them. Here in Galway, we have little excuse as we are so near the living tradition of our Celtic faith.
Deirdre Ni Chinneide invites us to connect to our tradition, to drink from our wells, through reflections, through the haunting world of music and song in order to find something of that wholeness and peace for which our hearts long. Come, sing and enjoy the day!
Deirdre Ni Chinnéide has sung in Irish and English for many years. Her “Celtic Passage album was voted Celtic spiritual Album of the year. Trained as Psychotherapist and Spiritual Director, Deirdre has worked in Bosnia and Kosovo during the wars there. She brings her singing into her spiritual practice.
Deirdre divides her time between the Aran Islands and the mainland offering workshops and retreats to groups and individuals. We welcome her to share her wisdom and music as we reflect on the riches of our Celtic spirituality for our lives today.
